About FPKT
FPKT is a free Army fitness app for iPhone, iPad and Mac. It scores the Army Fitness Test (AFT), checks your waist-to-height ratio (WHtR), keeps your test history and fills in Army forms. The name stands for Fitness, Performance, Knowledge, Training.
Who makes FPKT?
FPKT was built by Joe, a soldier. It started with a simple idea: make the tools we use for Army fitness easier to find, easier to understand and easier to use. It’s an independent app, not an official Army product.
What does the app do?
- AFT scoring. Scores all five events on the General or Combat standard, using the Army’s score tables effective 1 June 2025.
- Waist-to-height ratio. Records your waist readings, works out your ratio and saves the result.
- Test history. Compares your total and event scores over time, with your saved tests and notes close at hand.
- Army forms. Generates DA Form 705 scorecards and DA Form 5500 worksheets from saved results, ready to preview, save or share.
- Army publications. Keeps Army publications and scoring tables searchable on your device, even without a connection.
- Hex bar calculator. Adds up your bar and plates, so you know the weight you’re lifting.
Core tools and local history work without an account. FPKT needs iOS 17 or iPadOS 17 or later. AI Coach, a personalized training planner, is in development and isn’t available yet.
How are FPKT’s guides checked?
Each guide is researched from primary sources: Army regulations, directives, execute orders, field manuals and the published score tables. Before a guide goes live, a separate fact-check compares its numbers, dates and rules against those documents. Every guide opens with a quick answer, shows when it was published and updated, and ends with links to its sources, so you can check them yourself.
The guides explain the rules in plain language, and they aren’t official guidance. Always use official Army systems and current publications as the authoritative record, and confirm with your unit.
